The Memories Made in Dublin City initiative will run from Monday 24th March 2025 to Wednesday 31st December 2025.
Entries can be submitted from Monday 24th March 2025 to Monday 5th May.
Entries received after this time will not be included.
Entries should follow the theme of favourite and happy Memories Made in Dublin City.
A selection of memories will feature in a Memories Made in Dublin City exhibition.
Entries will be shortlisted by a panel of judges. The panel will select entries anonymously and will not be supplied with the participant’s name.
The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Images, audio and videos submitted must have been taken in Dublin City.
All memories submitted in written word form must have taken place in Dublin City.
Participation is restricted to people aged 18 years and over.
Participants are responsible for making sure that any image, audio, video or written word form submitted has the permission of the subject and does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Images, videos, audio and written word forms submitted may not include any element that is the copyright of another.
If the image, audio, video or written word form includes anyone under the age of 18, it is the participant’s responsibility to obtain necessary written permission from a parent or guardian to submit it to the Memories Made in Dublin City initiative. This must be available on request by Dublin City Council or its agent, Zinc Design.
Any incomplete, offensive, defamatory, indecent, inappropriate or illegible entries will be considered void and will not be included.
By taking part in the Memories Made in Dublin City initiative and submitting your entry in image, audio, video or word form you irrevocably consent to Dublin City Council’s and third party’s use of such material for the promotion and marketing of Dublin City and the Memories Made in Dublin City exhibition, in any and all media, now or hereafter devised, without additional notification or permission.
When an entry, in image, audio, video and/or word form, is submitted, it cannot be changed or edited.
Entries can be in image, video or audio formats, with a minimum size of 1 MB.
Dublin City Council reserves the right to crop any images submitted, at our discretion, in order to fit the overall design and format.
For future promotional purposes, Dublin City Council reserves the right to apply basic enhancements to any images, videos or audio submitted, at our discretion, which may include brightness, contrast, sharpening etc.
Participants may be asked to take part in publicity (including but not limited to online, social and print media) for promotional purposes.
Dublin City Council does not accept any responsibility for any technical issues experienced by entrants, which may result in submissions being lost or not delivered by the specified closing date.
Dublin City Council reserves the right to vary conditions of entry at any time without prior notice.
The personal information participants provide will be used by Zinc Design, for the purpose of conducting this initiative and to communicate with participants. Zinc Design is bound by the Data Protection Act 1998 or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applicable.
These terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland.

To take part, participants must use the form on the madeofmemories.ie website and enter the details required.
Participation in the initiative, by submitting an entry, confirms that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the conditions of participation.
Data Protection
By providing their email addresses, via the entry process, participants agree to be contacted by Dublin City Council and/or its agent, Zinc Design, in relation to this initiative.
All personal data collected in the running of this initiative will be governed by GDPR and other Irish data protection legislation.
Personal data provided by participants will be retained by Zinc Design for a maximum period of 6 months following the initiative’s closing date to deal with any queries that may arise.
